EcoArt Term 3 - Homeschool
EcoArt classes are designed to be the perfect mix of BUSH CRAFT and FINE ART using NATURE as inspiration!
EcoArt classes activate student’s imaginations and focuses on capturing students ideas in their artworks.
This program is perfectly suited for middle school ages 9 - 14 years. No current skill level is required, however, enthusiasm for making art and creativity is highly welcomed!
Classes run for 1.5 hours on Tuesdays over term 3 from 12.30-2.00 pm. Term starts July 18th.
10 WEEK OUTLINE:
Week 1: Paint and paste a ‘Ginkgo Leaf Mandala’ 🍃
Week 2: Create an oil pastel ‘Field of Flowers’ 💐
Week 3: Add final touches to drawing
Week 4: Design a ‘Japanese Art Ink Painting’ on special paper 🇯🇵
Week 5: Make a ‘Cardboard Cutout Fox’ inspired by Clare Young
Week 6: Finish Sculpture 🦊
Week 7: Draw and use watercolour for your ‘Creepy Crawly Critter’🐸
Week 8: Enter a ‘Local Art Competition’ 🐞
Week 9: Create a gorgeous ‘Yarn Weave’ pattern using a loom🧶
Week 10: Design a ‘Perth Boathouse Collage’⚓️

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Demelza Wheatcroft is a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree in Art Education. She currently teaches at Mundaring Learning and Creative Centre. Works annually with Scupture By the Sea in Cottesloe as an arts educator and tour guide for school groups and people with disabilities. Has taught nationally and internationally, has worked at Du Fn Academy of Fine Arts and was the Co-Founder of ARTPOD in Mosman Park.
