EcoArt Term 1
Located amongst the beautiful trees of the natural forest setting in Mundaring.
EcoArt classes activate student’s imaginations, replace screen time with hands-on making and intertwine the beauty of nature and sustainability into every creation. EcoArt classes are designed to be the perfect mix of BUSH CRAFT and FINE ART!
This after school program is perfectly suited for primary school aged children.
No current skill level is required, however, enthusiasm for making art and creativity is highly welcomed!
Classes are available Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons over the 10 weeks during term.
Term 1 Outline:
Week 1: Discover how to draw a monkey using oil pastel. 🐵
Week 2: Piece together a wall hanging from driftwood and beach objects. 🐚
Week 3: Design and bind a journal using a marbling effect.
Week 4: Learn a traditional ink technique and paint a tiger. 🐅
Week 5: Create and design salt dough pendants with dried flowers.
Week 6: Discover how to create a 3D animal sculpture. 🦊
Week 7: Put the finishing touches on your sculpture.
Week 8: Stitch colourful layers into a heart loom. 💜
Week 9: Cast magik spells with your hand made crystal wand.
Week 10: Have a cup of fruit tea and paint watercolour tea cups. 🫖

About the Instructor:
Demelza Wheatcroft is a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree in Art Education. She currently teaches at Mundaring Learning and Creative Centre. Works annually with Scupture By the Sea in Cottesloe as an arts educator and tour guide for school groups and people with disabilities. Has taught nationally and internationally, has worked at Du Fn Academy of Fine Arts and was the Co-Founder of ARTPOD in Mosman Park.
