2026 Sept School Holidays

🌿 EcoArt classes activate student’s imaginations and intertwine the beauty of nature with the joy of creating.

This holiday program is perfectly suited for Primary aged (6+) students. No current skill level is required, however, enthusiasm for making art and creativity is highly welcomed!

Over the two weeks of the Sept/Oct School Holidays, classes will run MORNINGS 10.30 - 12.00 and AFTERNOONS from 1.00 - 2.30pm.

Week One: Tuesday Sept 29th - Friday Oct 2nd

Tue AM: Learn the secrets to creating a ‘Friendly Sloth’ 🦥 

Tue PM: Draw and colour a ‘Manga Mermaid’ 🧜

Wed PM: Discover all the small details of ‘Watercolour Shells’

Wed PM: Draw fine lines and details in this ‘Zentangle Moth’  

Thur AM: Use watercolour and paint some ’Fruity Layered Cake’ 🍰 

Thur PM: Use your creativity to design a ‘Mushroom Moon’ 🌙 🌒 

Fri AM: Learn the art of abstraction in an ‘Abstract Shapes’ painting

Fri PM: Use oil pastels to create this ‘Friendly Pelican’ 

Week Two: Oct 6h - 9th

Tue AM: Observe and draw mushrooms in a ‘Mushroom Painting’ 🍄

Tue PM: Use your creativity to make a lively ‘Suns & Moon’ painting

Wed AM: Use ink to paint a ‘ Night Sky Scene’ ✨✨

Wed PM: Create a ‘Cool Dog’ drawing 🐕🐾

Thur AM: Use paint and Posca to create a ‘Cat Flower Power’ scene

Thur PM: Cut and paste together a ‘Corella Collage’ 

Fri AM: Discover intricate details for your ‘Bird swirl’🍁

Fri PM: Use watercolour and gold pen to create a ‘Shiny Dragonfly’

You can book Single Classes, Double Pass or 3 Class Pass for any date or a 5 class Week Bundle. (Bigger discounts for more days) You can use for single or multiple kids.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Demelza Wheatcroft is an artist, qualified teacher, and workshop facilitator based in Mundaring. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education and currently works at Parkerville Steiner College. Demelza has taught art nationally and internationally and has worked with a wide range of ages and abilities. She works annually as an arts educator and tour guide with Sculpture by the Sea, helping students engage with contemporary art in meaningful ways. Alongside her teaching, Demelza is a practicing artist who regularly exhibits her work and creates handmade jewellery through her label, DMLZA. She was also the Co-Founder of ARTPOD, a community art studio in Mosman Park.
