2023 EcoArt Term 4
EcoArt classes are designed to be the perfect mix of BUSH CRAFT and FINE ART!
We use NATURE as inspiration for Artworks.
EcoArt classes activate student’s imaginations, replace screen time with hands-on making and intertwine the beauty of nature and sustainability into every creation. We use NATURE as inspiration for Artworks.
This program is perfectly suited for primary school aged (6+) children.
No current skill level is required, however, enthusiasm for making art and creativity is highly welcomed!
Classes are small size with lots of personalised attention. EcoArt classes are safe spaces and run for 1.5 hours. Classes start week 2 of term and run over 8 weeks. *Limited places available.
8 WEEK OUTLINE:
Start date is Friday 20th October
Week 1: Paint a 'Royal Blue Flower Vase' contour design 🏺💐
*There is a gap week (Friday 27th)
Week 2: Create a funky ‘Paper Mache Jellyfish’ using recycled materials
Week 3: Finish decorating ‘Paper Mache Jellyfish’ 🪼
Week 4: Draw 'Psychedelic Beetle' on black with patterns and gold
Week 5: Finish your design 🪲
Week 6: Create a 'Tree Pattern' A3 painting 🍃
Week 7: Finish your painting 🌳
Week 8: Use stitch techniques to create a unique ‘Xmas Tree-Angle’🎄

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Demelza Wheatcroft is a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree in Art Education. She currently teaches at Mundaring Learning and Creative Centre. Works annually with Scupture By the Sea in Cottesloe as an arts educator and tour guide for school groups and people with disabilities. Has taught nationally and internationally, has worked at Du Fn Academy of Fine Arts and was the Co-Founder of ARTPOD in Mosman Park.
