🌿 EcoArt classes activate student’s imaginations and intertwine the beauty of nature with the joy of creating.

This holiday program is perfectly suited for Primary aged (6+) students. No current skill level is required, however, enthusiasm for making art and creativity is highly welcomed!

Over the two weeks of the July School Holidays, classes will run MORNINGS 10.30 - 12.00 and AFTERNOONS from 1.00 - 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday.

Week One: July 6th- 9th

Mon AM: Jump into making this special ‘Big-Eyed Frog’🐸

Mon PM: Use oil pastels to create this ‘Friendly Tiger’ 🐯

Tue AM: Discover intricate details for your ‘Yoyoi Tree’🍁

Tue PM: Hand make some funky ‘Tied Bunting’ 🎉

Wed AM: Learn the secrets of drawing a ‘Manga Face’ character 🧝🏽

Wed PM: Discover how to draw then paint a ‘Turtle’ 🐢

Thur AM: Use watercolour and paint some ‘Mountains by Moonlight’

Thur PM: Draw out all the personalities in a ‘Cat Stack’ 🐈

Week Two: July 13th - 16th

Mon AM: Design a cool ‘Starfish Swirl’ watercolour Painting

Mon PM: Imagine up a ‘Tree of Life ’ painting 🌳

Tue AM: Observe and draw real shells in a ‘Botanical Shell Drawing’ 🐚

Tue PM: Use watercolour to paint a ‘Colourful Fishy’🐠

Wed AM: Draw and a paint a ‘Jubilant Jellyfish Scene’ 🪼

Wed PM: Create an ocean inspired ‘Inside Bottles’ drawing 🌊🐳

Thur AM: Use your imagination and create a ‘Piece of Cake’ artwork 🍰

Thur PM: Use oil pastel techniques to create a ‘Moth Drawing’ 🦋

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Demelza Wheatcroft is an artist, qualified teacher, and workshop facilitator based in Mundaring. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education and currently works at Parkerville Steiner College. Demelza has taught art nationally and internationally and has worked with a wide range of ages and abilities. She works annually as an arts educator and tour guide with Sculpture by the Sea, helping students engage with contemporary art in meaningful ways. Alongside her teaching, Demelza is a practicing artist who regularly exhibits her work and creates handmade jewellery through her label, DMLZA. She was also the Co-Founder of ARTPOD, a community art studio in Mosman Park.
